These brass ball-shaped metal beads came from Ghana. Each bead was handmade from wax and then cast with molten brass, a process which dates back to the 7th century in Africa, because of this no two are perfectly identical, each is unique and somewhat crude in character (imperfections, a small dent or a missing section should be expected).
