Beaded Hoop Earrings Tutorial
Tutorial by Kimberlie Kohler
This tutorial is for really versatile and fun beaded hoop earrings! Kimberlie used recycled glass beads, so she only beaded about halfway so he earrings wouldn't be too heavy. If you choose smaller or lighter beads, you could bead the entire hoop. |
Suggested Tools & Materials:
|
Begin by cutting 2 pieces of wire, about 9 inches in length each. Then, slide your beads on the wire. Be mindful of how heavy the earrings will be. The beads Kimberlie used are glass, so she used 8 beads on each earring. If your beads are smaller or lighter, you can use more! |
Make a teardrop shape and hold the wires where they cross. The wire ends above the cross are about 1.5 inches each. Give the wire two twists while still holding the wires where they cross. |
Hole one of the loose ends with your round nose pliers. Wrap the wire around the pliers to form a loop. Take the loop off the round nose pliers and straighten it. Then hold the loop with pliers and wrap two more times. |
Cut off any excess wire making a flush cut. Make sure the end is not poking out. Repeat this full process for your other earring. |
Attach your earring wires and you're finished! |
